Love the show, but why pay when FOX.com has it for free? (2008-09-24)
Bones is a great show if you are not the type that can't handle the sight of a rotting corpse. :)

I give the show itself 5 Stars and have to deduct 2 stars because it is disappointing to see Amazon.com charging for episodes that are available on Fox.com from free.

Buyer beware - Always check a shows network website if it is the current season you are looking to catch up on an episode as most networks are posting full episodes now.

Dig into this (2008-06-26)
Bones Season 1 DVD is very good because the show is very good. The sexual tention between the 2 lead characters makes for an intersting show, along with their different views on love, religion and politics. Oh yeah, the murder mysteries are entertaining puzzles.

what a great twist (2008-05-27)
If you like Bones and you have been following the show throught the season this season ending is great! It has you guessing right from the start and it will really keep you to the very end. I cannot wait for the next season to start.

"Stop! Or I'll kick you in the testicles!" (2008-02-10)
Plot SPOILERS alert.

BONES keeps on keeping on. Two excellent seasons under its belt, and almost half a season's worth of episodes produced so far for Season 3, and good ones, too. As Season 3's first episode ("The Widow's Son in the Windshield") opens up, we learn that Bones has been reluctant to go in the field with Booth and she won't say why. However, a head flung off a bridge forces her to reconnect with Booth. This episode also begins a new serial killer arc, this one being particularly even more gristly and diabolical than most.

Season 3 doles out several other subplots. As per the startling news learned at the altar from Season 2's finale, Angela is already married. An ongoing subplot becomes Hodgins and Angela's search for her long-time but vaguely remembered husband. "The Secret of the Soil" introduces Dr. Sweets, a 22 year old psychotherapist assigned to counsel Bones and Booth, this stemming from the FBI's concern due to Booth having arrested Bones' father. These sessions are generally funny stuff as, mostly, Booth can't help but treat Sweets like a kid. Plus, these scenes tend to open things up even more between Bones and Booth.

I already have several favorites in Season 3. "The Widow's Son in the Windshield" introduces the cannibalistic Gormagon killer. "Mummy in the Maze" is a very neat Halloween show, wherein Booth's shameful phobia is unveiled and Bones's costume is...simply awesome. "The Knight on the Grid" is a taut thriller as the Gormagon killer returns, this time with a personal vendetta against Bones and Booth. And "The Santa in the Slush" is a standout sentimental episode and provides one of the best moments in the series as Bones cuts a deal to have Christmas brought to her incarcerated father and brother. Cool ending, too.

The cases are still bizarre and the corpses borderline grotesque. But the draw remains Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz, and that electric "thing" between them. These two still get aces in chemistry, and are still the smokingest hot couple on television. Emily Deschanel continues to nail her role of Temperance "Bones" Brennan. And while her character might've loosened up a little bit (not too much), there's still that endearing naivette and vulnerability which peek out occasionally. And, of course, her refreshing bluntness (some call it social awkwardness) has never left. Boreanaz, he's just a great leading man. Confident and charming, bristling with machismo, yet with a sensitive side. His unveiling of his Christmas present to Bones in "The Santa in the Slush" is one of the best, most touching scenes of the season.

Tack on the rest of the offbeat but familiar crew from the Jeffersonian Institution, and these folks continue to provide the best show in forensics crime-solving. All the ingredients to the series' success are on display for Season 3 - the boosts of levity, the whiffs of romance, the chilling mysteries, and the ongoing character developments. BONES just keeps on keeping on.

BONES is incredibly addicting..... (2007-11-16)
The program has been on for almost a full three seasons and has kept me on my toes from week to week.....the cast is incredible ( you just have to love Zach, Hodgekins, Angela [really the most emotional of the Squints], Dr. Brennan and Booth )....and the only question I have is: When are Brennan and Booth going to get together...?

Best comedy sitcom of the last 20 years (2008-11-08)
My wife and I discovered this show last year from an article in Science Magazine. We learned that the show has physicists on staff to help with the writing and to keep the science accurate. That may be one reason we like it. But, mostly, we like this series because it is so funny, and we absolutely love all the main characters. I couldn't believe the number of 1-star ratings in these customer reviews, so I read a few. Seems the biggest complaint concerns the supposed "laugh track." However, according to Wikipedia and other sources, BBT is taped in front of a live studio audience. I can believe it because this is definitely a laugh-out-loud kind of show.

WHERE THE HECK IS SEASON TWO'S EPISODES ???!!!!!!???!!!!!!???? (2008-10-30)
Best sitcom on TV.
So where the heck is Season Two's Episodes?!?
We're past EPISODE 5 and still no updates?

WAKE UP!!! You guys must be asleep at the helm at AMAZON!!!

The Sarah Conner Chronicles and a ton other programs are
updated within hours of airing.

What is the deal with CBS' The Big Bang Theory?

Are you folks just tired of making money and don't want
to post the episodes for profit anymore?

If so, post-em for free! I'm sure we can all find low-quality
copies of the program floating out there on the net for free.

Every minute you let slip by without updating the episodes for
Season Two you are loosing money guys!!!

Let's get with the program and post Season Two for sale!

What's the problem guys?

Awesome Show! (2008-10-24)
I just have to say that this is one of my favorite shows out there. Great writing, great acting, and lots of great laughs. I notice some people mentioned the "canned laughter". Let me just dispel that myth as false. I have been to a taping (see my review of the taping: http://jcasner.blogspot.com/2008/10/big-bang-theory.html), and can assure you that the laughter is real. Just a superb show, all around!

True and Funny (2008-10-23)
They say that the more complex the mind the more need there is for play. While in college I had a physics major tell me his description of the college years. When you are a freshmen and a sophomore you talk to everyone. When you are a junior you talk only to those in your grade level. When you are a senior you only talk to those in your field and when you are a doctorial student you don't speak to anyone. I congratulate all the cast members for being true to life and acting exactly like some of the best friends I ever had in my life. Good luck to all of the actors and keep up the great stories. P.S. Don't give up Leonard. You two would make a great couple.

Why does the VOD version cost more than DVD? (2008-09-22)
I don't get it. If you guys want people to buy this digital content, you need to price it appropriately...come on. DVD version is $10 cheaper....and once I buy it, I can rip it to my computer and re-sell it on EBAY. This should cost 1/2 of what the DVD version costs.

The boys are back! (2008-10-01)
Prison Break is my second favorite show after 24. I like having the option to watch the episodes on my computer when I'm unable to watch it on TV. The color and sound is very good.

Gets more unbelievable, but I still enjoy it. (2008-09-11)
Prison Break seems to get more and more unbelievable with each season. This season (Season 3) requires a fairly high suspension of disbelief. The episodes are entertaining enough, but I think I made the right decision to watch them during the summer down season when there weren't better shows on to be watching.

horrible quality (2008-02-04)
i let all 10 episodes download throughout the night and woke up this morning to watch them. the quality on them is piss poor and the only reason i could make out what was going on is that i've already seen the first couple of episodes. i'll never buy a download from unbox again.

Show is great, but no closed captions?! (2008-01-19)
the show is great, but there is no option for the hearing impaired to turn on subtitles/closed captions. unwatchable for the hearing impaired!

Not a bad show (2007-10-21)
I missed the first season and download this premiere to check it out. It's not a bad show to watch.

Simply Awesome!!! (2008-12-25)
Damian Lewis is spectacular in this very intriguing series about a cop that gets life in prison for murder, but 10 years later DNA evidence clears him of the crime, thereby committing the city to settle for Millions of dollars and his job back but as a Detective since that is presumably where he believes he would have become had the charges and conviction never happened.

For those who aren't familiar with Damian's work, please watch Band of Brothers and I believe you'll give this series a real chance and hopefully enjoy his awesome performance in this as his role as Major Winters.

His American accent is really impressive given that he hails from London, England.

Give it a chance (2008-10-26)
At first, it started out slow. The quirky character; you had to understand how he got that way. I just saw the last couple of episodes, and it's much better. It's now on my Tivo's Season Pass.

Great show, but don't pay!! (2008-09-30)
Life is a great show - full of drama yet witty at the same time. The first season was particularly interesting as it followed Crews' search for the truth behind his incarceration.

However, DO NOT BUY this video on demand! You can watch episodes of Life, and many other shows, for free at NBC.com. Why pay??

THIS SHOW IS GREAT! (2008-09-23)
I am so glad that this show is back! I love the new chief. I really missed this show!

Wow (2008-09-23)
While it took a few minutes to remind myself of everything that happened last season, this episode certainly does not fail to pack a punch. With the show's winning fromula back from last season, you won't want to miss this episode.

Keep it coming (2008-10-06)
I really like it and want to see it continued. It deserves a full run and not to be chopped off mid season in regard to ratings. Change the day and time to avoid Monday night football. Certainly better than all the "reality" crap that's on now. This could easily fill the gap when the final season of Battle Star Gallactica is over.

One of the best shows on tv (2008-10-03)
This show is smart and action packed. Each week is compelling with a plot that keeps getting better. The characters have been nicely developed and it is based off one of the best, novel sci-fi concepts ever. Honestly, I can't say enough about how much I have enjoyed this series, and Summer Glau is simply amazing. go watch

Best yet this season (2008-10-01)
In all honesty, there are just too many great moments to list, and I don't want to spoil this for anyone, but any fan of this show should NOT miss this episode!!

Terminator Rokz (2008-09-28)
If you don't know the whole Terminator story then you won't truly understand this show, but that won't stop you from watching it because on its own it takes the terminator story to a whole new level. This series is awesome and I will continue to be an avid fan far into the future,

Very Compelling... (2008-09-20)
One of the better shows on TV...period. It does NOT suffer from the problems seen on "LOST" where there is constant hype and no delivery. No, here questions are raised and answered.

A must watch for any Sci Fi fans.

another good addition to this season's episodes (2008-11-02)
This episodes finds the Winchester brothers battling to keep another one of those pesky keys from opening and moving the world that much closer to becoming hell-on-earth.

It's a good episode, but not as good as the first three of the season. Still, Castiel is back (yay), and we get some more references to what Dean went through during those 4-months-that-seemed-like-40-years in Hell. I'm hoping that gets developed a little more quickly, as it's a good source of tension and suspense.

In this one, the tension rests there as well as with Castiel (this time accompanied by Uriel, a snarky and maybe-a-wee-bit-prejudiced angel that Castiel calls a "specialist," which you should maybe read as "homicidal maniac") and his own doubts over the course of events. And let us not forget the tension between Dean and Sam when it comes to Sam using his "talents."

Good job with this one.

Now, word to Mr. Kripke--Ackles and Padalecki have definitely hit their stride as actors, and now's the time to really blow the audience away with some heavy-duty plot and character development.

A gruesome Hallowe'en treat (2008-11-01)
I'm going to start with a caveat videor ("viewer beware", in my horrendous Latin. To quote Harry Dresden: "Darn correspondence course."): the story deals with the somewhat gruesome origins of Hallowe'en, at least according to the Romans' account of Samhain (which may be biased or exaggerated to make the ancient Celts seem more brute-like), and the Big Bad of the week is a powerful demon named Samhain (pronounced "Sam-hain", not "sow-WHEN" like the Pagan/Celtic festival).

Aside from that, another top-drawer episode in a season that has been taking this series to greater heights. A new angel has joined Castiel, one Uriel, who gives me a definite "bad cop" vibe to Castiel's "good cop". The atmosphere is terrific, and the conversation between Castiel and Dean gives us an insight into both characters as they continue to evolve, as well as how angels work in this universe. It's nice to see angels cast in a very different light than what we're used to. These are not Martha Williamson's kinder, gentler angels, these guys are closer to what angels are really like: powerful beings in the middle of a war with the powers of darkness.

Best Show EVER (2008-10-19)
This is the only show I go out of my way to watch. This episode was great. Dracula on a moped - hilarious!

A monster of a monster movie tribute! (2008-10-18)
I'm woefully behind in watching the great Universal monster flicks (something I am going to rectify pronto), but even still, I really love this episode! The black and white film stock, the Bernard Hermann/Franz Waxman-esque soundtrack, the opening credits which look like something straight out of a 1930s monster movie, the old-style iris-outs and wipe dissolves (even a shot that's a clear mimic of the camera 360-ing around Jimmy Stewart and Kim Novak's kiss in "Vertigo"), the atmospheric lighting and playfully cheezy sets -- splendid! The only thing missing is an angry mob with torches, but it would be hard to fit something like that into the tightly-woven narrative. It's more than a deliberately corny episode, the writing is still top-drawer and the character development is still at its peak. We even get to hear the monster's angle on what it feels like to be the monster, and why it sought to take control of things in such a gruesome way.

Oh, and the shot of Jensen Ackles in lederhosen: too cute for words!

Shocking and human (2008-10-15)
This season has to be one of the most tightly-wound ever in a tightly-written series with an incredible amount of attention to detail, and this episode tightens things a little more. The monster of the week has to be one of the more disturbing ones so far. Granted, we've seen a human turn into a monster before, but this one is more subtle and the transformation more gradual yet shocking in that it starts with something simple and seemingly harmless: who hasn't had a male relative or acquaintance who's cleaned out the refrigerator before... But what if it was more sinister than just the hungry-horrors...? (It also put me in mind of the hunger-demon in the debut arc of "John Constantine: Hellblazer") And at the same time, it seems to mirror the internal transformation going in in Sam, during Dean's sojourn in hell. But, after he used that "let's talk about it" ruse to coax the man-turned monster into a trap, can we really trust Sam to keep his promise to Dean? This is one season that I don't want to miss a minute of, and I'm grateful that Amazon is offering download episodes...

Creepy yet wonderful (2009-01-01)
Dexter is such an amazing show. It is creepy and yet I find myself drawn to it. I can't wait for season 3 to be available for download!

truly ingenious film entertainment, extremely well written, brilliant, fun actors (2008-12-31)
Thank goodness for Dexter, the first serial (get it?) show I've found fills the hole vacated by Tony and the gang from North Jersey. Start from the beginning and you'll fall in love with Dexter, his beloved and brilliantly hilarious and crass sister Deb, and the cast and crew that is so fantastic, ... they're delicious. I've had so much fun watching this show that I wonder if its just me, or am I crazed to find this show so enjoyable despite its crass and crude subject matter. But there's so much truth to this show, ... we all wear a mask, and we all act out, ... it's just what's acceptable versus what's not that begs the question.

Check this out, ... Dexter is brilliant, I can't wait for more

Unbox Bad! Dexter Good! (2008-12-02)
Dexter itself is a great show.

Amazon Unbox is a DRM nightmare, there is a reason everyone else is going away from this. After I watched this purchase I uninstalled it (yes it requires a program installed on your computer to be able to download and watch) and will never use it again, unless of course they do away with the DRM.

BEST SHOW EVER ON TV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (2008-09-29)
Michael C. Hall is so good as DEXTER. This is by far the best show ever. When is SEASON 3 coming?!?!?!?!

Simply Amazing! (2008-09-22)
I can't even begin to tell you how much I love Dexter. The 1st two seasons are absolutely amazing! I highly recommend renting them from first season to the second, and then start watching the 3rd.

These are incredible, the writing is amazing, the acting is amazing, the story is amazing... My favorite season is season 1, so, give it a try, I promise, it's worth it!
